Lucie Titus - Woman of the Year - 2006

(Sacramento Ca.) – Assemblyman Guy Houston (R-San Ramon) today honored Mrs. Lucie Titus of Danville as the 2006 “Woman of the Year.” Titus was recognized on the Floor of the State Assembly in a ceremony honoring the women who enhance our communities.

Titus serves as President of the MG William F. Dean Chapter, Association of the United States Army. This private, non-profit educational organization supports the Army’s soldiers on active and reserve duty, soldiers in the National Guard, and retired soldiers.

“It is a great pleasure to honor Mrs. Lucie Titus as Woman of the Year. She’s helped build an incredible support network for our military men and women and their families,” said Assemblyman Houston.

The MG William F. Dean Chapter, Association of the United States Army is operated by a group of dedicated citizens and their families. The volunteers show their appreciation by offering educational opportunities and other programs, including events, meals, transportation, and gifts, to soldiers, hospitalized veterans, and deployed soldiers’ spouses and children.
